Job summary

P&L is seeking an Edge bander & Pothole Operator for external applications to join their team in Gauteng. The role focuses on edging and drilling to meet customer timelines and quality standards while maintaining machine integrity.

Candidates should have Grade 12/NQF 4, with carpentry experience and familiarity with cutting/edging/drilling machinery. Shift work, weekend and public holiday availability is required to succeed in this position.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• 2 years carpentry experience would be advantageous
• 1 year experience with cutting/ edging & drilling machinery would be advantageous
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to customer service and accurate product guidance.
• Assist with product queries and handle complaints promptly.
• Maintain area safety and cleanliness in line with OHSA expectations.
• Ensure area is free of obstacles and stock is merchandised correctly.
• Support other departments as required and ensure safe operation of machinery.
