Job summary

P&L is seeking an Edge bander & Pothole Operator for external applications in Lebowakgomo. The role involves operating edging and drilling machinery, ensuring accurate calibration to cutting lists, and maintaining a safe, clean work area.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• 2 years carpentry experience would be advantageous
• 1 year experience working with cutting and edging & drilling machinery would be advantageous
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Advise Customers on products, assist with queries, and handle complaints promptly.
• Safety (OHSA): Ensure safety compliance and follow machinery safety standards in area of responsibility.
• Loss Prevention and Security: Be aware of suspicious behaviours and report findings; ensure proper documentation for loaded products.
• Cutting and Edging: Calibrate machines to cutting lists to minimize wastage and maintain area cleanliness.
