Job summary

The Talent Room in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, seeks a motivated used-vehicle sales consultant to meet monthly targets, demonstrate vehicles, and build lasting customer relationships.

You will prospect new clients, follow up on internet leads, prepare quotations, negotiate deals, and coordinate with the F&I department to offer finance options, while ensuring accurate paperwork in the dealership CRM.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• Previous used-vehicle sales experience essential.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Familiarity with dealership CRM/DMS advantageous.

• Follow up on internet, digital and dealership-generated leads.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.


• Conduct professional vehicle demonstrations and test drives.


• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles.


• Provide accurate information on vehicle specifications, features, pricing and finance options.


• Prepare quotations and negotiate sales professionally.


• Work closely with the F&I Department to facilitate vehicle finance and additional products.


• Ensure all sales documentation is completed accurately and submitted timeously.

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.


• Previous pre-owned vehicle sales experience within a motor dealership is essential.


• Proven track record of achieving vehicle sales targets.


• Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills.


• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.


• Strong closing ability.


• Customer-focused approach.


• Computer literate.


• Experience with a dealership CRM / DMS will be advantageous.
