Cashbuild is seeking a Cashier for a store in Limpopo. The role focuses on accurate handling of POS transactions, ensuring goods are paid for, and delivering polite customer service at checkout.

Requirements include Grade 12 or 1 year of experience, English and local language proficiency, basic arithmetic, strong admin skills, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. You must handle pressure well and follow Cashbuild policies.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or minimum of 1 year work related experience
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately
• Must have strong administration skills
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays
• Must be able to work under pressure

Responsabilités

• Balance cash, including floats and petty cash, and ensure no shorts or overs
• Identify and capture goods on the Point of Sale (POS) Terminal
• Capture the correct payment type received from customers on the POS Terminal
• Maintain sufficient change at all times
• Ensure daily takings are dropped into the Drop Safe / vault
• Process transactions relating to other stores' money, deliveries and quotes correctly
• Offer fast, friendly, and efficient service to Cashbuild customers at check-in and out
• Direct customers to the relevant person for assistance
• Adhere to the company's dress code and OHSA safety requirements
• Report any discrepancies to the Store Manager
• Maintain system password control and secure cash handling procedures
