Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking a cashier to accurately handle POS transactions and documentation, ensuring customer satisfaction and that goods are properly paid for at the till.

The role requires communication in English and the local dominant language, basic math ability, and strong admin skills. Applicants must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, and handle pressure with precision.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or minimum of 1 year work related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must have strong administration skills.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Balance cash, including floats and petty cash, with no shorts or overs.
• Identify and capture goods correctly on the POS Terminal.
• Capture the correct payment type from customers on the POS Terminal.
• Maintain sufficient change at all times.
• Ensure pickups are processed accurately within set parameters.
• Complete cash-ups at the end of your shift and drops to the vault.
