Job summary

Cashbuild is seeking a diligent Cashier at Sterkspruit to accurately handle POS transactions and ensure all goods are paid for. You will balance floats, handle cash up to tills, and assist customers with fast, friendly service in a busy retail environment.

Requirements include Grade 12 or 1 year related experience, strong admin skills, English and local language communication, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Safety and security compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or 1 year work related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language in the area.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must have strong administration skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash transactions accurately at POS.
• Balance cash floats and ensure no shorts.
• Capture payments correctly on the POS terminal.
• Maintain accurate cash-ups at end of shift.
• Drop takings into the drop safe/vault as required.
• Provide fast, friendly service to customers and direct them to assistance.
