Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Social Worker to serve communities in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will assess needs, develop intervention plans, provide counselling, and connect clients with essential resources.

The role requires SACSSP registration, 3+ years post-qualification experience, and strong knowledge of South Africa’s social welfare policies. Travel within the Limpopo province is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Registration with SACSSP is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience as a Social Worker.
• Proficiency in various social work methodologies and intervention techniques.
• Strong knowledge of South Africa's social welfare policies, especially in Limpopo.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Ability to work with diverse client groups and handle sensitive issues.
• Proficiency in case management and report writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Polokwane area and wider province.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments of individuals and families.
• Develop and implement case management plans.
