Plant Manager (Utilities)
Location: Mpumalanga
Salary: R 900,000 - 1.0 million
Our client in the utilities Industry is looking to hire a Plant Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To plan, coordinate and control activities, and manage assets to ensure acceptable standards of financial performance.
- To ensure that the process and product quality of the plant meets acceptable international and customer standards.
- To ensure high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Adhere to minimum standards and apply best practices.
- To ensure that the image, personnel, and management enhanced in all relationships with external stakeholders.
- To create a culture and climate in the plant that supports and develops a learning organization.
QUALIFICATION
- BSc Degree - Chemical Engineering required.
- Certificate in Operations Management will be advantageous.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in managing Water Treatment Plants, preferably within the Mining industry.
- Certificate of fitness is a prerequisite for employment.

- Technical aptitude - capacity for using specific knowledge, tools, or other equipment to enhance performance. It includes specific aptitudes such as understanding water and chemical processes, management information systems, etc.
- Mechanical aptitude - capacity for understanding, operating, and modifying mechanical devices. It includes specific aptitudes such as mechanical reasoning, object assembly, etc.
- Leadership orientation - ability to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction
- Excellent communication skills
