Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Plant Manager to lead their state-of-the-art mineral processing facility in Vereeniging . This pivotal role involves overseeing all operational aspects, from production and maintenance to safety and environmental compliance. You will be responsible for optimizing plant performance, managing budgets, leading a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the efficient processing of valuable minerals. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence within the vital mining support industry in Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day plant operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and efficiency metrics are met.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, preventative maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee and manage the plant budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and operators, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and technical support teams to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a plant management or senior operational role within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
• Proven track record in managing complex mineral processing plants, including comminution, flotation, and dewatering circuits.
• Strong understanding of process optimization , maintenance strategies, and operational efficiency .
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing large operational teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
