Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an Intermediate PHP Developer to join our development team in Cape Town. You will contribute to full-stack development, collaborate with design teams to craft intuitive interfaces, and maintain clean, scalable PHP code using Laravel and AWS.

You will participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and help drive architectural discussions with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of PHP development experience.
• Experience with Laravel and AWS.
• Collaborate with design teams to implement UI.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.

Responsibilities

• Researching, designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise architecture.
• Understanding product goals and communicating with stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Ensuring high standard of code produced by team members after testing.
• Documenting and following Company conventions and best practices.
• Monitor task allocation to ensure timely completion.
• Provide critical feedback to junior and mid-level developers.
• Coach developers through complex issues and aid onboarding of new hires.
• Promote continuous self-improvement and skill transfer within the Dev team.
• Build strategies to address skills gaps in the team.
