Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Hospital Pharmacist to join their Soweto healthcare team. You will dispense medications, review regimens for safety, provide patient education, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy in a hospital setting.

The role requires SAPC registration, a B.Pharm degree, and at least 2 years of hospital experience. You will work in a multidisciplinary team focused on patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to physician orders, ensuring compliance with all legal and professional requirements.
• Review patient medication regimens for appropriateness, potential drug interactions, and contraindications.

• Participate in rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient pharmacotherapy.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (B.Pharm) or equivalent.
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) and holds a valid practicing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing pharmacist, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical therapeutics, drug interactions, and medication safety principles.
