Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Hospital Pharmacist to join their Soweto healthcare team. You will dispense medications, review regimens for safety, provide patient education, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy in a hospital setting.

The role requires SAPC registration, a B.Pharm degree, and at least 2 years of hospital experience. You will work in a multidisciplinary team focused on patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutics, drug interactions, and safety principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately according to physician orders and legal requirements.
• Review patient regimens for appropriateness and interactions.
• Provide medication information and education to patients, families and staff.
• Participate in rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team on pharmacotherapy.
• Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
• Assist in managing inventory and ensure availability of essential medications.
