Placements24 is seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Production Technician to join their Paarl manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves operating and maintaining production equipment and adhering to strict manufacturing protocols.

The successful candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a regulated environment to help ensure a steady supply of high-quality medicines, with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational manufacturing training is a plus.
• Experience in production/manufacturing, preferably pharma.
• Familiarity with GMP is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate and maintain mechanical equipment with accuracy.
• Physical stamina to stand long periods and lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pharmaceutical production equipment (reactors, mixers, tablet presses, packaging lines).
• Perform routine checks, maintenance and cleaning according to SOPs.
• Follow batch manufacturing records (BMRs) to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor parameters and adjust to maintain quality and yield.
• Document all production activities and deviations per GMP.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Pharmaceutical Production Technician to join their manufacturing team in Paarl . This hands-on role involves operating and maintaining pharmaceutical production equipment, ensuring adherence to strict manufacturing protocols and quality standards. You will play a vital role in the efficient and safe production of essential medicines. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to working in a regulated manufacturing environment, contributing to the consistent supply of high-quality pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, including reactors, mixers, tablet presses, and packaging lines.


• Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance, and cleaning according to SOPs and schedules.


• Follow batch manufacturing records (BMRs) precisely to ensure accurate production processes.


• Monitor production parameters and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and yield.


• Document all production activities, including material usage, equipment operation, and deviations, in compliance with GMP.


• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.


• Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry .


• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is highly desirable.


• Ability to operate and maintain mechanical equipment.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.


• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
