Placements24 is seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician to join the Upington production team. You will operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, ensuring adherence to GMP and SOPs to produce life-saving medicines.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician to join their production team at the facility in Upington . You will be responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in the production of pharmaceutical products, ensuring adherence to strict quality and safety standards. This hands‑on role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) precisely. You will play a direct role in producing life‑saving medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment (e.g., reactors, tablet presses, filling machines).
• Follow batch manufacturing records and SOPs accurately to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and the production area.
• Monitor process parameters and report any deviations or issues to supervisors immediately.
• Accurately document all manufacturing activities and data.
• Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant technical qualification is advantageous.
• 1-2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with GMP and aseptic processing techniques.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and SOPs.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
