Job summary

Placements24 in Upington, South Africa, is seeking a Pharmaceutical Production Supervisor to lead the manufacturing team. You will oversee daily operations, ensure GMP compliance, and drive efficiency in pharmaceutical production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field, at least 5 years in pharma manufacturing with 2+ years in supervision, and strong leadership and communication skills to mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Strong GMP knowledge and ability to read batch records and SOPs.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel to ensure efficient and safe execution of manufacturing operations.
• Ensure all production activities are conducted in strict accordance with GMP, SOPs, and safety regulations.
• Monitor production schedules, equipment performance, and product quality, intervening as necessary to resolve issues.
• Train and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage material flow, inventory levels, and timely completion of batch records and related documentation.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Maintenance departments to resolve operational challenges and implement process improvements.
