Placements24 is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our Richards Bay operations in KwaZulu-Natal. You will supervise a team of production operators, manage schedules, and ensure all products are manufactured under GMP, safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires a relevant technical degree with at least 4 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing and 2 years in supervision. A hands-on leader with strong problem-solving and communication skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or National Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing with 2+ years in supervision, preferably in Richards Bay.
• Thorough understanding of GMP principles and production processes.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production team to meet daily and weekly targets.
• Ensure GMP, safety regulations, and company policies are followed.
• Monitor processes and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Train and mentor operators on SOPs, equipment operation, and safety.
• Manage production schedules, material flow, and resource allocation.
• Maintain batch records and deviation reports.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Supply Chain for smooth operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement to reduce waste.
