Cfs Recruitment (Pty) Ltd in Bedfordview, Gauteng seeks a mid-career Personal Lines Underwriter. Permanent role reporting to the Underwriting Manager.

You will handle endorsements, renewals, broker queries, and renewals processing, with a focus on timely service. Requirements include RE5, Matric, Class of Business - Personal Lines, FETC in Short Term Insurance, and a Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance (adv).

Qualifications

• Must have RE 5, Matric, Class of Business - Personal Lines, FETC in Short Term Insurance, Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance (adv).
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with TIAL Operating System is advantageous; strong knowledge of short-term insurance policy wording.

Responsibilities

• Endorsements/ Amendments on existing policies
• Perform broker productivity on all brokers with outsourced/ binder agreements
• Attending to all Broker queries within prescribed SLAs and turn-around times
• Action Renewals (monthly/ annually)
• Requesting VAR Surveys on new business and/ or existing business upon renewal stage and consider all relevant Risk Requirements
• Processing Corrective action based on claims history
• Process cancellations in accordance with internal operating procedures and time frames
• Retaining business wherever there is a risk of losing a client
• Providing quotes on existing policies upon a broker's request for the addition/ removal of an item/ asset
• Disciplined management of daily diary system
