Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment seeks an experienced People Support Practitioner for a maternity cover contract. The role focuses on Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, wellness, performance management, compliance, engagement, talent acquisition and HR reporting.

The successful candidate will support strategic priorities in a fast-paced contact centre environment, requiring CCMA experience and strong Sage 300 People expertise to enable robust HR support for employees and management.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in an HR Generalist role.
• Proven Industrial Relations experience within a Contact Centre/BPO environment.
• Strong technical HR knowledge.
• Solid understanding of Industrial Relations within a high-volume Contact Centre/BPO environment.
• Proven experience with CCMA representation.
• Exposure to planning and executing employee wellness initiatives.
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 300 People.
• Sound knowledge of applicable South African labour legislation.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience working with electronic employee information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Recruitment & Selection support to the Talent Acquisition Specialist, including advertising, screening, coordinating interviews, reference checks, and preparing job specifications and profiles.
• Coordinate onboarding for new employees and manage onboarding questionnaires and interviews.
• Offer sound Employee Relations and Industrial Relations advice, advise on labour legislation and policies, and manage disciplinary hearings when required.
• Prepare and present bi-monthly People Support reports and maintain Sage 300 People records; update HR policies.
• Coach line managers and employees on People Support matters and manage benefits, claims, and related services.
• Develop and implement Employee Wellness and Engagement initiatives; support EWP/EAP communications and service providers.
