Job summary

Takealot Group, South Africa’s leading online Retail / Delivery organisation, is seeking a People Intern to join the team in Cape Town. The Internship Programme will be split across the Group’s businesses: takealot.com, TFS, and Mr D.

You will gain exposure to end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and HR projects within a fast-growing group. You will assist with interview coordination, candidate comms, CV screening, and HR reporting, while learning from industry leaders in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• N6 certificate in Human Resource Management or related field.
• Students or graduates seeking practical HR exposure will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiters with interview scheduling and coordination.
• Communicate with candidates to ensure a positive recruitment experience.
• Capture and update candidate information in the recruitment system.
• Assist with job adverts, CV screening, and shortlisting support.
• Prepare interview packs and follow up on interview feedback.
• Support onboarding administration once offers are accepted.
• Assist with recruitment reporting and tracking of roles.
• Support graduate programmes, recruitment projects, and employer branding activities.
