Takealot Group in Cape Town is offering a 12-month Transport and Logistics Internship at the Montague Gardens Distribution Centre. You will support SOPs, assist in inbound, inventory, outbound, dispatch, and planning, and prepare reports to communicate findings to DC operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Facilities and Health & Safety while monitoring KPIs and identifying improvements.

Qualifications

• NCV Level 4 in Transport and Logistics is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; able to present findings clearly.

Responsabilités

• Support the development, review, and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation in different Warehouse functions.
• Contribute in day to day warehouse operations in INBOUND,INVENTORY,OUTBOUND,DISPATCH,PLANNING.
• Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to DC operations
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Facilities, and Health & Safety.
• Monitor operational performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in identifying improvement opportunities and corrective actions.
• Participate in problem-solving initiatives by identifying root causes, proposing practical solutions, and supporting implementation.

This is a 12-month contract position.
