You will process payroll for ~500 staff across 9 companies, use Sage 300 Payroll, handle benefits, deductions, and payroll journals, while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years payroll exp, strong Excel skills, and thorough knowledge of SA payroll legislation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of solid payroll administration experience.
• Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Sage 300 Payroll.
• Strong understanding of SA payroll legislation.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong reconciliation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing: Capture, maintain, and process payroll information for ~500 employees across 9 companies, meeting deadlines.
• Benefits & Deductions Administration: Administer retirement/pension funds, medical aid, reconcile monthly schedules, process garnishee and maintenance orders.
• Reporting & Reconciliations: Generate monthly payroll reports, investigate variances, prepare salary journals, reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Payroll Admin & Queries: Process appointments, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments, and handle payroll queries confidentially.
