Job summary

ENS in Cape Town seeks a Payroll Specialist to join the Accounts team, reporting to the Senior Payroll Specialist. You will handle monthly payroll inputs for starters and leavers and liaise with the payroll software provider to ensure accuracy.

You will coordinate benefits, respond to HR queries, assist auditors, and develop reports as needed. The role requires extensive attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Post matric qualification with payroll and HR administration training (sound payroll legislation knowledge).
• 3–5 years relevant experience in payroll.
• African payroll knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience processing payroll for 1000+ employees.
• Praxima payroll system experience is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monthly payroll processing and input for starters and leavers.
• Liaison with payroll software provider for quality control.
• Resolve payroll queries with HR and maintain service levels.
• Coordinate, analyze and capture employee benefits.
• Assist external auditors as required in payroll area.
• Develop reporting as needed for payroll management.
• Administer the annual salary increase process.
• Handle other ad hoc tasks as required.
