Job summary

Aspen Pharma Group is seeking a Payroll Officer to oversee and coordinate the full payroll process and related administration, ensuring timely and accurate payments and adherence to statutory requirements.

The role collaborates with HR and Finance to maintain employee records, prepare payroll reconciliations, handle deductions for medical aid and provident funds, and respond to employee queries with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing and inputs including time and attendance, allowances, and deductions.
• Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations, balance payroll with creditor payments, and post related journals.
• Coordinate payroll activities with HR and Finance; maintain accurate employee records and monthly statutory reports.
• Process EFT, salary, ad hoc, and third-party payments; validate bank accounts and payments to medical aid and provident funds.
• Manage maternity/paternity calculations and ensure leave is captured correctly.
• Provide IRP5 copies, payslips and UIF-related documentation to employees.
