The role requires strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation, BCEA, and tax regulations, plus proficiency in Sage/Workday/SAP HR and advanced Excel. You will ensure data integrity, support HR admin, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified in HR or Payroll administration or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Administer and maintain the HR Information System (HRIS), including employee data management and system updates.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation, tax regulations, and statutory deductions.
• Process new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status accurately within the payroll system.
• Generate payroll reports, reconciliations, and ad-hoc reports as required.
• Liaise with finance and external payroll service providers as needed.
• Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including UIF, SDL, and other statutory contributions.
• Support HR data management and analysis, providing insights into workforce trends.
• Respond to employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and HR system usage.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all employee and payroll data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to payroll and HR systems.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required.
