Decofurn Furniture in Montague Gardens, Cape Town, is looking for a detail-driven Payroll Administrator to join our Head Office team.

This hands-on role supports a high-volume payroll of 350–400 employees, demanding accuracy, confidentiality and timely processing in line with legislation and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years' payroll experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to resolve payroll queries efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' payroll administration experience.
• Experience handling payroll for 350–400 employees.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements.
• Experience with timesheets, leave, deductions and employee benefits.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll inputs for new employees, terminations, and salary changes.
• Manage and validate timesheets and leave.
• Administer monthly benefits such as pension and medical aid.
• Process deductions including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
• Maintain payroll records and master data.
• Resolve payroll queries and discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and year-end activities.
• Liaise with HR, Finance and benefit providers.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness in line with legislation and policies.
