Job summary

Communicate Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Payments Authorisation Specialist to review and authorise supplier, creditor and operational payments, ensuring compliance with internal controls and approval frameworks.

You will verify supporting documentation, monitor workflows, resolve payment discrepancies, support cash flow and treasury functions, and assist with audits to maintain accurate records and timely processing in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of payment authorisation experience.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with high-volume payment transactions.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working on ERP or accounting systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
