Job summary

RecruitMyMom is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Controller for a part-time, on-site role in Paarl. You will manage day-to-day finance, implement internal controls, and streamline processes for an industrial supplier to automotive and mining.

Reporting to the CEO, you will own cash flow, reporting, and tax compliance, while driving cost efficiency and risk management in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant or 15+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of SA tax compliance including VAT and SARS e-Filing.
• Experience in managing complete general ledger, reconciliations and management accounts prep.
• Strong commercial acumen in industrial or technical environments.
• Ability to support an entrepreneurial CEO in a calm, practical team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cash flow and ledger with strict controls over receivables/payables.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L, and bank reconciliations.
• Evaluate and streamline financial checks and balances across all transactions.
• Monitor VAT input/output and SARS compliance; flag risks.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency.
• Occasional quarterly travel to head office in Johannesburg for stock take.
