Job summary

Network Finance in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a 6-month contract. You will own day-to-day financial processes and manage cash flow in a hands-on, operational environment.

The role covers month-end activities, reconciliations, VAT/PAYE/SARS submissions, and the oversight of debtors and creditors with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting or related qualification.
• 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Strong Sage 300 / Accpac experience highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cashbooks, banking and cash flow.
• Process and oversee international supplier payments.
• Handle import/export-related finance processes.
• Prepare VAT, PAYE and SARS submissions.
• Assist with SARS audits and compliance matters.
• Manage month-end journals and accounting processes.
• Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.

Our client is a well-established, product-focused business operating within an international environment, with a strong focus on financial control, operational excellence and commercial performance. They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a 6-month contract and take ownership of key day-to-day financial processes, based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

This is a hands-on opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in an operational environment and is confident managing cash flow, foreign currency transactions, international payments, compliance and the full accounting cycle.

As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and smooth running of the finance function. You will work across daily cash management, month-end processes, reconciliations, compliance, audit preparation and the oversight of debtors and creditors.
