Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Aftercare Facilitator and Homework Assistant for Centurion, Gauteng. This part-time role focuses on creating a safe, structured after-school space where primary school children can complete homework and enjoy constructive activities.

You will supervise 6–12 year olds, support homework across subjects, plan engaging games and crafts, and communicate with parents about progress.

Formación

• Previous childcare or tutoring experience is preferred.
• Ability to assist with homework across various subjects.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine affinity for working with children.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to plan and facilitate engaging activities.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise children aged 6-12 in a safe aftercare environment.
• Assist children with homework completion and provide academic support.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate recreational activities, games and crafts.
• Ensure well-being and safety of all children in care.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere and promote good behavior and social skills.
• Serve light snacks and ensure children are settled and engaged.
• Communicate with parents regarding progress, behavior and concerns.
• Keep the aftercare area tidy and organized.
• Manage transitions between activities smoothly and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety and operational policies of the aftercare service.
