Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an energetic Aftercare Facilitator for a part-time role in Centurion, Gauteng. You will supervise children aged 6-12 after school, assist with homework, and lead engaging activities in a safe environment.

The ideal candidate communicates well with parents and school staff, is patient, reliable, and able to adapt plans to meet each child's needs. Some administrative tasks may be done remotely as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in aftercare, camp, or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and implement engaging activities.
• Patience, responsibility, and a caring attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during aftercare hours, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
• Provide assistance and guidance with homework completion.
• Plan and lead a variety of age-appropriate recreational and educational activities.
• Organize and facilitate indoor and outdoor games.
• Manage student behavior and promote positive social interactions.
• Ensure children's needs, including snacks and hydration, are met.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any issues.
• Liaise with school staff and management as required.
• Maintain a tidy and organized aftercare space.
