Placements24 is seeking an energetic Aftercare Facilitator in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will supervise children ages 6-12 after school, provide homework support, and lead a variety of activities including arts, crafts, sports, and educational projects.

The role emphasizes safety, organization, and fostering positive social interactions while liaising with school staff and parents to monitor progress and ensure a caring, structured aftercare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in aftercare or youth programs.
• Strong understanding of child development and behavior management.

• Ability to plan and lead engaging activities for school-aged children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children aged 6-12 years in the aftercare program, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assist children with homework and provide academic support as needed.
• Plan, organize, and lead activities including arts, crafts, sports, games, and educational projects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment within the aftercare facility.
• Communicate with parents regarding the child's day, behavior, and concerns.
• Manage attendance records and ensure sign-in/sign-out procedures.

• Follow school policies and procedures regarding child safety and supervision.
• Liaise with school administration and teaching staff regarding progress and program operations.
