Job summary

Placements24 partners with a leading tourism operator in the Paarl region of the Western Cape to recruit a Tourism Experience Developer. This role focuses on conceptualizing, designing, and implementing exceptional tour packages and visitor experiences that showcase wine routes, culture, and natural beauty.

You will collaborate with local businesses, guides, and authorities, conduct market research, develop itineraries and pricing, and ensure safety and quality while delivering outstanding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years in tourism product development or experience design.
• Proven track record of creating innovative tourism experiences.
• Deep knowledge of Western Cape tourism market, especially Paarl.
• Excellent creativity, strategic thinking and problem-solving.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in market research, feasibility studies, and business case development.
• Proficiency in project management and relevant software tools.
• Passion for travel, culture, and memorable visitor experiences.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop innovative and engaging tourism experiences and packages.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs within the tourism sector.
• Collaborate with local businesses, accommodation providers, wine estates, and activity operators to create synergistic offerings.
• Develop detailed itineraries, pricing strategies, and operational plans for new and existing tourism products.
• Ensure all developed experiences meet high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Create compelling marketing content and collateral to promote new experiences.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with tourism stakeholders, industry partners, and relevant authorities.
• Evaluate the success of new experiences through feedback, reviews, and financial performance metrics.
• Stay updated on best practices in tourism development, customer experience design, and sustainable tourism.
• Manage project timelines and budgets for the development of new tourism offerings.
