Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Community Outreach Coordinator for Paarl, Western Cape. This hands-on, field-based role focuses on promoting social inclusion by building strong relationships with local NGOs, schools, and government bodies.

You will identify community needs, develop impactful programs, organize events, and recruit volunteers while coordinating projects and budgets. The position offers contract-based work with opportunities to create meaningful social impact in the Paarl region.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in social work, community development, sociology, or related field.
• Proven experience in community engagement or program coordination.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse community groups.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
• Experience in event planning and volunteer management.
• Knowledge of local social issues and resources in Western Cape.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community outreach strategies targeting key populations.
• Organize and facilitate events, workshops and information sessions.
• Build partnerships with NGOs, community leaders, schools and government agencies.
• Identify community needs and gaps in services for inclusion.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines and budgets for outreach.
• Promote awareness of available resources and support services.
• Gather feedback to inform program development and improvements.
• Prepare regular reports on activities, outcomes and recommendations.
• Represent the organization at meetings and events.
• Recruit and manage volunteers to support outreach activities.
