Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and deploy renewable energy systems in Paarl, Western Cape. You will work on solar, wind, or energy storage solutions, from concept to commissioning, contributing to a greener future with a proactive, analytical approach.

The role requires a strong mechanical engineering foundation, CAD proficiency (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), and experience with simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering with renewable energy focus.
• Proficiency in CAD software and engineering simulations.

Responsabilidades

• Design and optimize mechanical components and systems for renewable energy applications.
• Conduct structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for equipment and installations.
• Collaborate with electrical, civil engineers and project managers.
• Oversee fabrication, installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during project execution and operation.
• Participate in site assessments and feasibility studies for new projects.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Contribute to R&D of new renewable energy technologies.
