Job summary

Sanitech a division of WACO Africa in Lephalale, Limpopo, is seeking a Depot/Branch Operations Supervisor to manage the entire operations process on site.

The role requires Grade 12, a National Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Operations Management, and at least 3 years’ supervisory experience, with strong communication and leadership skills. You will supervise labour, coordinate deliveries, manage time attendance and prepare month-end reports, while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Operations and supervisory experience
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Good motivator and leader
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Supervise all labour related to the section
• Keep Ops Manager up to date with new and old developments on both site and yard (creating orders and GRV)
• HR and IR for all staff
• Coordinate all deliveries and collections for the related sector and give feedback to Ops Manager/Branch Manager Daily
• Manage and support all tasks issued to drivers
• Scheduling work daily and planning routes- Reporting on missed services daily and reasons why
• Investigate site and vehicle problems
• Asset Investigation and monitoring C-Track
• Asset Scrapping and replacement if need be
• Overseeing issuing of materials – consumables and ensuring controls are put in place
• Upkeep of asset register book, issuing and recording PPE
• Maintain and control ISO policies and procedures
• Ensure all staff are trained to work in the relevant sector by means of Safe Work instructions and Toolbox Talks
• Ensure Planned Job Observations are conducted on staff
• Customer liaison in regard to operational issues
• On site customer visits to inspect quality and maintain client relation
• Manage time attendance – pre-approve overtime on electronic system
• Ensure timeous submission of timesheets, leave forms, terminations and employment contracts to Payroll Dept.
• Controlling Staff overtime
• Complete month end reports
• Report and control toilet numbers in yard and in field
• Oversee the workshop and wash bay activities, ensuring staff are kept busy throughout the day
• Responsible for stock issuing and ordering process
• Assisting Sales with Costing for unique jobs
• Dealing with all health and safety issues of the branch and on site
• Upkeeping of branch and clients Health and Safety Files
