Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in production and operations management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the industrial components sector within the North West province.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, quality control, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet demand forecasts and operational targets in Mahikeng.
• Oversee all manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and production timelines.
• Manage, train, and motivate a team of production staff, supervisors, and line leaders to achieve optimal performance.
• Implement and promote Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor production efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Ensure the maintenance and effective operation of all production machinery and equipment.
• Manage the production budget, controlling costs related to labor, materials, and overheads.
• Implement and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the production cycle.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant OHS regulations.
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and maintenance departments to ensure smooth operational flow.
