Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an results-oriented Industrial Engineer specializing in Operations to join our Sandton-based team in a hybrid role. You will enhance core operational processes, identify improvement opportunities and design optimized workflows to drive productivity and cost savings.

You will collaborate with plant and management teams to implement solutions, develop SOPs and support Lean initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on operations/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in process mapping, simulation and data analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and tools (5S, Kaizen).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement improved production processes, workflows and facility layouts.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Support Lean Manufacturing implementation to drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct time studies and capacity planning to optimize resources.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
