Placements24 is seeking an Operations Improvement Engineer to join a hybrid team in Polokwane. The role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of core business processes through rigorous analysis and targeted improvements.

You will map workflows, identify bottlenecks, design optimization strategies, and implement SOPs in collaboration with department heads while monitoring impact and sustaining gains over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in operations improvement, process engineering, or management consulting.
• Strong knowledge of process analysis, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Power BI.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement using various methodologies.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, automation, and workflow enhancement.
• Collect and analyze operational data to measure performance and identify key trends.
• Collaborate with department heads and team members to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for optimized processes.
