• 1–3 years' experience in a shipping environment.

• Export knowledge is advantageous.
• Stock management experience is advantageous.
• Valid driver's license and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between Logistics, packhouses and cold storage facilities to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
• Liaise with third-party logistics providers and documentation teams to ensure all required information and documents are received within the required timeframes.
• Resolve operational issues arising during loadout planning and allocation.
• Convert stock allocations into loading instructions and communicate requirements to the Logistics team.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and agents to obtain accurate, up-to-date shipment information.
• Monitor vessel ETD, ATD, ETA and ATA, and track execution against weekly shipment plans.
• Keep customers and the Commercial team informed of shipment progress and any operational changes.
• Provide operational support to Commercial teams across different origins.
• Coordinate administrative processes and communication between internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and sign off logistics costs from service providers across the export supply chain.

Our client, an established company operating within the citrus and agricultural sector, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Coordinator to join their team in Port Elizabeth. This position is ideal for someone with experience in shipping, logistics, exports or citrus operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating multiple stakeholders across the export supply chain.

• 1-3 years' relevant experience within a shipping environment, preferably within the citrus or agricultural industry.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and data analysis.
• Understanding of logistics procedures and costing would be advantageous.
• Export knowledge would be advantageous.
• Stock management experience would be advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
