Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Management Consultant to join a Paarl-based team in the Western Cape. You will diagnose operational issues, design process improvements, and drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives to deliver tangible cost savings and productivity gains for client organizations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and ≥5 years in management consulting or operations, with Lean Six Sigma certification preferred. Travel to client sites in Paarl and surrounding areas is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in management consulting, operations management, or process improvement.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments of client operations, supply chains, and manufacturing processes.
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost reduction and performance improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design and facilitate workshops to improve team performance and operational workflows.
• Manage projects focused on operational enhancements, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
• Develop KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track operational progress.
• Collaborate with client teams to embed best practices and foster a culture of operational excellence.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for client leadership on findings and recommendations.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in operational management.
