Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa is expanding its Emergency Medical Services footprint on industrial mining sites and seeks an Advanced Life Support Paramedic on a 3-year contract. You will attend emergency calls, provide advanced medical care, and oversee operational readiness in line with the scope of practice for ALS.

Essential qualifications include a CCA diploma or a National Diploma in Emergency Medical Care, with ALS experience.

Qualifications

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: CCA or National Diploma in Emergency Medical Care.
• Training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines by HPCSA is advantageous and may be required during probation.
• ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Newly qualified ALS with operational EMS experience.
• 1 year ALS operational experience is desired.

• Administer patient care in line with scope of practice.
• Market and maintain positive public image for ER24.

To attend to emergency calls and provide advanced medical care in line with scope of practice of n Advanced Life Support Paramedic.

We are expanding our operations and have new and exciting new mining sites opening at Emalahleni, Ogies, Middleburg/ Belfast, Bethal, Secunda, Lephalale, Heidelberg, Ndou and Aphane.

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Critical Care Assistant (CCA) or National diploma in emergency medical or Diploma Emergency Medical Care.

Desired Education

Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.
