Job summary

ER24 Western Cape in Plumstead, Cape Town is seeking a healthcare professional to attend to emergency calls and provide basic medical care in line with the scope of practice. The role operates on-site and is permanent, with a closing date of 23 September 2026.

The successful candidate will have a Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate and at least 6 months to 1 year of road BLS experience, with a preference for those with training on Clinical Practice Guidelines. English proficiency is essential.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certificate

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months – 1-year road BLS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years road BLS experience
