Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Mine Manager to lead open pit operations near Tembisa in Gauteng. You will oversee planning, production, maintenance, safety, and cost management, driving productivity and profitability while fostering a safety-first culture.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team of mining engineers and operators, implement best practices, monitor KPIs, and ensure regulatory compliance. A strong track record in open pit mining and budget control is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in mining operations management.
• Experience leading open pit operations and budgets.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all open pit mining operations, including planning, production, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
• Develop and manage operational budgets and cost optimization.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of mining engineers, supervisors, and operators.
• Implement and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee mining fleet and equipment management for optimal performance.
