Job summary

Placements24 in Kimberley is seeking a detail-oriented Industrial Engineering Technician to join the on-site operations team. You will support process improvements, collect data, perform measurements, and help maintain SOPs on the factory floor.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in Industrial Engineering Technology, 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, and a practical understanding of Lean Manufacturing and data recording methods.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant certification in Industrial Engineering Technology or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and basic data recording methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process flowcharts.

Responsibilities

• Assist industrial engineers in data collection and analysis for process improvement projects.
• Perform time studies, work sampling, and motion studies as directed by engineers.
• Help implement and document changes to production layouts, workstations, and material flow.
• Maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Operate and calibrate measurement equipment used in process analysis.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on the production floor.
