Job summary

Netcare Alberton Hospital is seeking an experienced AEA to support casualty and emergency care, handling admin duties, documenting patient interactions and assisting with life support within HPCSA guidelines.

The role requires current HPCSA registration as Emergency Care Personnel AEA, a valid Code 10 license, and at least two years of post-graduate patient care experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is beneficial and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Current HPCSA registration as Professional Board of Emergency Care Personnel (AEA) and up-to-date HPCSA guidelines.
• A valid PDRP for passengers.
• A valid Code 10 Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Complete all administrative and legal documentation essential for duty and hand copies to the Operations Manager.
• Ensure hospital records are completed per internal requirements for patients via casualty/emergency unit.
• Attend CME training to maintain CPD compliance and participate in community projects when required.
• Log all calls with Netcare 911 and obtain a Case Number for each contact; ensure it appears on all PRF/EPRF pages.
