Job summary
Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a proactive Site Engineer to oversee construction activities on our clients’ sites. You will supervise on-site operations, interpret drawings, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and at least three years of site supervision experience, with strong leadership and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Site Engineer or similar supervision role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Commitment to health and safety regulations on site.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and ensure work is carried out accordingly.
- Conduct quality control inspections and ensure all work meets required standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage site resources, including equipment, materials, and labor, for optimal efficiency.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety documentation.
