Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Construction Site Engineer to provide technical expertise and supervision on major projects near Nelspruit. You will bridge design and execution, guiding site teams to meet safety, quality, and schedule benchmarks.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, have at least 7 years of site experience on large-scale projects, and ideally be registered as a Pr. Eng. with ECSA. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of site engineering experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and quality control.
• Proficiency in engineering software and surveying equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical engineering support and guidance to the project team.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for construction activities.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and site personnel.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to schedules.
• Conduct site inspections, identify potential engineering issues, and propose solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
