Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in wellbore integrity, drilling, or completions in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with API RP 90 and ISO 16530-1.
• Strong knowledge of casing design, cementing, well control, and subsea systems.
• Experience with risk assessment methods and failure analysis.
• Proficiency with well integrity software and data management systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to lead projects in Polokwane and collaborate across disciplines.
• Commitment to HSE excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain wellbore integrity management programs and strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments and failure analysis for wellbore components.
• Oversee well integrity testing, monitoring, and intervention programs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to well integrity.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on well design, construction, and abandonment from an integrity perspective.
• Investigate well integrity failures and incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and manage budgets for well integrity operations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with various disciplines, including drilling, completions, production, and HSE.
• Stay current with new technologies, materials, and best practices in wellbore integrity.
• Prepare technical reports, procedures, and performance reviews related to well integrity.
