Placements24 is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our Randburg, Gauteng assembly and fabrication lines. This hands-on role focuses on meeting daily targets, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety and efficiency in a busy plant.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Production Supervisor or Team Lead in a manufacturing setting.
• Hands-on experience with assembly and fabrication processes.
• Strong understanding of production workflows and quality control principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a team effectively and delegate tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or further education is a plus.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Randburg, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team on the assembly and fabrication lines.
• Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, and timeliness.
• Monitor the performance of production equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
• Enforce safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing guidance and support to existing team members.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and quality checks.
• Implement and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in production.
• Identify and report any production issues or quality defects to the Production Manager.
• Motivate the team to achieve optimal performance and foster a positive work atmosphere.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
