Placements24 is seeking an experienced Production Line Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our George, Western Cape facility. The role focuses on leading a team of production staff, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a safe, productive environment to meet quality targets.

You will report to the Production Manager and drive continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and waste while ensuring accurate production records.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; further technical qualification or diploma in a related field is advantageous.
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in using production management software and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours if required and adapt to changing production demands.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production line workers to ensure efficient operation.
• Monitor production output and quality, implementing corrective actions as needed to meet targets.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff.
• Train new employees on production procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Manage material flow and inventory on the production line to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Conduct regular performance reviews for team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime and ensure operational readiness.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
